What would be some adequate answers?
Also, keep in mind that similarly LASIK eye surgery years ago had the similar backlash. Yet, it has proven to be effective.
In addition, if a patient can avoid an evasive procedure that requires scalpel and sutures for a non-invasive one which do you think the patient will choose?
Thank you for bringing up this topic. Google leads a person right to here upon inquiry.

When asking the prospective periodontist “What organizations do you belong to that continue to provide you with technical updates and training?”

What would be some adequate answers?

Also, keep in mind that similarly LASIK eye surgery years ago had the similar backlash. Don't patients want to have the right to fire a doctor that's not treating their family with dignity, respect, and excellence whether he's on a plan or not?

Thanks Ben for another well-written piece! Ben Goldacre writes a column in the Saturday Guardian (www.guardian.co.uk), here in the UK. It's the first thing I read (after the Rugby pages, of course!). He's a clear thinker and not afraid to put a pin in some Big Egos/Corporations/Politicians. He deserves to be listened to. Best wishes, Andy.

Thanks for this. Ben Goldacre writes a column in the Saturday Guardian (www.guardian.co.uk), here in the UK. I don't profess to be knowledgeable about laser techniques, but the article articulates so well that there are enough questions for a potential buyer to address before making a financial committment. I am particularly drawn to the first paragraph with reference to marketing. My additional suggestion to potential buyers would be to question "How much is my return on investment going to be?"

Ben , nice article!<br
